Company 1, affectionately known as “The Big House,” plays a vital role within our fire department. Comprising over 25 dedicated members from the west side of the district, Company 1 is responds to all general alarms. Company 1 is composed of both interior and exterior firefighters.
Operating as an engine/rescue company, Company 1 primarily utilizes engines for their responses to calls of service. Equipped with state-of-the-art engines, Company 1 ensures a swift and efficient response to various emergencies. These engines are ready to tackle a wide range of incidents, employing their specialized tools and equipment.
One of the notable assets of Company 1 is their heavy rescue truck, and tanker. This specialized vehicle is equipped with an extensive array of tools and equipment specifically designed for heavy rescue operations. With the capability to handle extrications, collapses, and other complex rescue scenarios, the heavy rescue truck enhances Company 1’s ability to mitigate challenging incidents effectively. The tanker is a key asset to the department, some areas of the district are without fire hydrants and the tanker is essential to fire suppresion efforts in those areas
