On January 1st of 2024 the newly voted in officers were sworn into their positions within the Middle Island Fire Department. Commissioner and Ex-Chief Walter Olszewski was sworn in again as a commissioner of the Middle Island Fire District. Marcel Rosenfeld was sworn in as Chief of the Department. William Nevin stepped down from the Chief of the Department and was sworn in as the 1st Assistant Chief. Both the line officers and administrative officer of each company where also sworn in.
